Dr. Nathaniel J. Wilson - The Lords Prayer Series: Forgive Us Our Debts

It's Tuesday and we continue with The Lord's Prayer Daily Bread Study. As the weather changes and it is starting to get colder outside, Bro Wilson is excited about the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Family, Food, and Fellowship! Yet, all this can be spoiled if we haven't prayed and Forgiven those that trespass against us. Ahh, the grudge that we hold may own us no matter where we go. It is time to release those that have offended us even as we NEED those to forgive us that WE trespassed against. Did you gather your daily cookie this morning? Eat your manna... it's good for your soul.

Thy Kingdom come... Thy will be done... not mine!

Dr. Nathaniel J. Wilson - The Lord's Prayer Series: Magnifying God

How big is GOD? How big are your problems? Have you compared the two? If your problems are bigger than the Lord, you may not have magnified JESUS in your circumstance. Start out each day exalting, blessing, and magnifying the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and Ending, the Lord of Lords, and the King of Kings, the Author and the Finisher of OUR faith... something happens as you watch your mountains turn into molehills. Let's lift Him up today!

Dr Nathaniel J Wilson - The Lord's Prayer Series: Our Father - Wednesday

Bishop continues with The Lord's Prayer - Our Father. The word "Father" or "ABBA" is very important as Dr. Wilson shares with us. It really isn't a real word but a special loving utterance we express to our "daddy" in trust and adornment.

Dr Nathaniel J Wilson Responds to the 2008 Presidential Election

Nathaniel J. Wilson, Ed.D. Dr. Wilson is the founding pastor of The Rock Church in Sacramento, Ca. He is also founder of Apostolic School of Theology, formerly College at The Rock, author of several books, and full-time faculty member of Hope International University (Fullerton,CA). He serves on the Executive Counsel of the World Wide Pentecostal Fellowship and was speaker and director of Harvestime International Radio Ministry for the UPCI (1979-1981). He has earned a Doctorate of Education from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Master of Arts in Religion from Vanguard University, Bachelor of Arts in Bible, and Theology from Christian Life College.

The election of Barack Obama is a historic crossroads for the United States. For some there are starry predictions of radical positive change. For others, predictions of dire consequences soon to come. The truth is probably somewhere in between. For the Apostolic, the main thing is to remember that God puts up and takes down, and that, ultimately, all remains in His hands. Politics is a strange thing, and of such complexity that extreme caution is in order in hastily drawing conclusions
Regarding elections, personalities, agendas, and such like. The magnitude of conflicting forces constantly at work create a foment that even the victorious politician can often not control. From things that look good can come unexpected negatives. Likewise from things which appear foreboding can come results which are positive.
For example, it is now a matter of record that the candidacy of Mr. Obama resulted in an extremely large turnout of black voters. This played a role in his election. If you were opposed to the election of Mr. Obama, you may view this negatively. However, it was this same black vote (70%) along with the Hispanic vote (53%) which assisted Proposition 8 (Marriage is between a man and a woman) to pass in California. One might ask, what is more important, the election of the President, or preserving the foundation of American society? Further, while the Republican Party touts “Family Values”, John McCain admitted to unfaithfulness ending in divorce and remarriage, while Mr. Obama is the one with the nuclear family.
Did I vote for Mr. Obama? No.
Do I espouse most of his policy positions? No.
Would I vote for a black man? Yes.
Would I vote for a liberal? No.
However, with all of that said, who knows what God may do. He is full of surprises. Politicians are still just men, (and women) and God is able to touch them in ways that even they would never have expected. In the meantime:
“The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance, and of my cup. Thou are mine lot.
The lines have fallen unto me in pleasant place. I have a goodly heritage.
ps Did I hear Obama is going to an Apostolic church in Chicago?
